FIVE WEEK PROGRAM
Miami City Ballet School offers an intensive five-week training program in our 63,000 square-foot facility in South Beach from June 24 – July 26, 2013.  Students must audition for the program.  The program is for serious young dance students, 12 years and older.

The five-day-week classes are taught by the Miami City Ballet School faculty and principal dancers of the Miami City Ballet Company.  Classes include ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, variations, Jazz, stretch and weight training.  Typically, students take four classes each day during the five-day-week schedule.  Classes start at 9:30 or 10:00 am. and finish at 4:00 or 4:45 pm.  Off-premise chaperoned housing is available in beautiful air-conditioned dorms.  Residential Assistants are on duty 24 hours a day along with a nurse and campus security.  A number of evening and weekend activities are offered to complete an exciting and fun summer experience.

Representatives from Freed of London will be offering complimentary, individual pointe shoe fittings, from July 18-20, for students enrolled in the five-week summer program. These 20-minute personalized sessions ensure that students have properly fit pointe shoes, which is essential for intensive ballet training and injury prevention.

TWO WEEK PROGRAM
In addition, Miami City Ballet School offers a two-week summer intensive program from July 29-August 9, 2013 for serious ballet students (boys and girls) ages 9 through 12-years-old. The Two Week Summer Course curriculum consists of the same course offerings as MCB School’s Winter Term Program, which includes Ballet Technique, Pointe, Jazz, and Musical Theater, with additional new classes offering Preparatory Pointe, Introduction to Variations, Repertory Class, Stretch and Strengthening, and Pilates. Invitation to attend the program is by audition only. Students may audition by sending a video or by setting up an appointment to audition during a regular Miami City Ballet School classes.  Classes are Monday through Friday.
