2-Week Summer Program, August 2 - 13, 2010 -- for 10-12 year olds

Housing is for students 13 years of age and older.

Housing is available for students at Johnson & Wales University's Flamingo Residence Hall. The spacious, air-conditioned rooms are double occupancy with twin beds (linens are provided) and are equipped with code access, micro-fridges, cable, local telephone with voicemail and wireless internet access. There are showers, laundry facilities and vending machines on each floor. Flamingo Hall also has a TV/movie lounge, a computer lab with internet access, a game room, a community kitchen and a 11,000 square foot adjacent dining facility, "The Mix".

A pool, fitness center, game room, basketball court and barbeques are also available. Housing includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, brunch and dinner on weekends and transportation to and from the University and the Miami City Ballet Studios.

The University is located in North Miami, a very safe, family-oriented neighborhood. The University provides 24-hour patrolled security, Resident Assistants and a Hall Coordinator. There is a doctor on campus and a nurse practitioner available every weekday morning at the Miami City Ballet Studios. For students who choose to stay at the residence hall, a number of weekend and evening activities are offered to complete and exciting summer experience. Past activities included sunset disco cruises, visits to beaches, shopping on South Beach and trips to theme parks.
