Alexei Ratmansky is one of the most sought after choreographers working today. Miami City Ballet scored a coup in commissioning him to create Symphonic Dances, set to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff which, just prior to the OPEN BARRE performances, will have had its World Premiere in a one-night-only Gala performance on Thursday, March 1 at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House. It’s a tour-de-force showcasing the artistic strengths of Ratmansky, Miami City Ballet’s dancers and The Cleveland Orchestra’s musicians, all who are at the height of their careers.
Miami City Ballet’s 26th season is currently underway at the Adrienne Arsht Center, Ziff Ballet Opera
House in Miami, in Fort Lauderdale at the Broward Center and in Palm Beach at Kravis Center.
